About Olaniyi Gideon Olamide

In the last 8+ years, I've been involved with software engineering, infrastructure, and technology operations, assisting organizations in creating systems that are reliable and addressing challenging technical questions.

My journey has included developing websites and digital learning platforms, to managing infrastructure for daily business operations. I managed critical IT systems at University of Lagos Guest Houses, and restored an HPE ProLiant server that saved the organization millions of dollars in replacement costs, and enhanced the reliability of systems that support the guest services, online bookings and internal operations.

I have also been responsible for developing and deploying software solutions and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams and have been responsible for projects from planning to production. The combination of software engineering and operations provides me with a holistic view of the problem, both from a product and infrastructure standpoint.

I like to develop solutions that bring measurable value and long-term reliability, whether it's in the context of building applications, maintaining critical systems, enhancing operational processes or facilitating technical initiatives.
